Wei Zhou
Wei Zhou, pianist, was born in Dalian, China. She started her piano study at the age of 5. In 1998, Zhou went to the Elementary school attached to the Central Conservatory of Music and continued her music study in the Middle School attached to the Central Conservatory of Music. During the years of her music study in the Central Conservatory of Music, Zhou won the First Prize in the "Concours Mido" Piano Competition. Zhou enrolled in the Bard College Conservatory of Music in the fall of 2005, where she studies with Jeremy Denk and Peter Serkin. In 2006, she won Jan and Beattie Wood Concerto Competition in Brevard Music Festival and performed with the Transylvania Symphony Orchestra that summer. The following year, she was invited back to the festival with a full sholarship.
All concerts are on Sunday at 3 PM
at the Saugerties United Methodist Church
on the corner of Washington Avenue & Post Street
